Press Release | Stonemark Collects $39,500 for the Hungry; Donations Benefit Atlanta Community Food Bank

Atlanta (November 2015) – Stonemark Management, an Atlanta-based multifamily real estate company, has collected more than $39,500 for the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB). The donations came through the Atlanta Apartment Association’s Food-a-Thon, a yearly event, in which apartment companies work together to fight hunger. The theme of this year’s event was “Food Busters.”

The Atlanta Community Food Bank distributes the food through a network of 600 nonprofit partner agencies in 29 metro Atlanta and north Georgia counties. The Food-a-Thon is believed to be the largest food-and-fund drive in the U.S.

Atlanta apartment companies start collecting funds and nonperishable food over the summer. The Food-a-Thon drive ends with a parade in October and an awards gala in November. Stonemark is one of the only participants to collect donations from across the country.

This year Atlanta’s multifamily community collected enough food and financial donations to serve 7.29 million meals for the needy. Stonemark has participated for several years running. For more about the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s mission, visit www.ACFB.org.
