Michael Taylor Chief Executive Officer

Michael joined Stonemark in 1997 as CEO and has over 25 years of acquisition, disposition, finance and management expertise to ensure the future success of Stonemark. As CEO, Michael has established one of the nation’s outstanding multifamily management companies by attracting and retaining the best executives and associates in the industry. Prior to joining Stonemark, Michael served as CPA, specializing in real estate audit and tax consulting with Habif, Arogetti & Wynne, PC, Vice President of The Sterling Group, a national apartment development company and Vestcor Realty, North Florida’s largest owner and manager of multifamily communities. A graduate of The University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business and Economics , Mr. Taylor holds a BS in Accounting & Finance.

Walt Lamperski, CPM President

Walt joined Stonemark Management in 2007 as President. Prior to joining Stonemark, his experience included Senior Vice President for Bell Partners (portfolio topped 30,000 units) from 1985 until 1996 and then again in 2003 until March of 2007. He has also served as Vice President for Berkshire Realty Holdings from 2001 until 2003 and as Senior Vice President for United Dominion Realty Trust overseeing approximately 25,000 units from 1996 until 2001. Mr. Lamperski received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Shorter University. He received his Certified Property Manager (CPM) from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) in 1987. He is past president of the Georgia Apartment Association (2008), Atlanta Apartment Association (2003) and the Triad Apartment Association in North Carolina (1992). He holds Real Estate Broker’s license for Georgia and North Carolina.

Stacie Aschwege Director of Marketing

Stacie Aschwege has over 20 years of experience in the multi-family real estate industry: her experience includes markets throughout Washington, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Florida, Virginia, Maryland and Georgia. Stacie has served with the Stonemark Team for over 9 years. Stacie first joined Stonemark in 1998 and served as Vice President of Operations overseeing the operations of the portfolio from 2000 to 2005. Stacie rejoined the Stonemark Team in 2011 as Director of Marketing and oversees the portfolio and corporate marketing initiatives. Stacie’s area of expertise includes, but is not limited to strategic marketing, branding architecture and marketing communications. Stacie’s area of marketing initiatives includes, conventional, affordable and student housing. Stacie’s success stems from her diverse operational experience within the field of property management along with her ability to champion forward thinking marketing initiatives that enhance the overall business plan for the real estate assets that are managed by Stonemark. Stacie is a Certified Property Manager Candidate (CPM Candidate) currently pursuing her CPM designation. Previously, she held a Real Estate License with the state of Washington and Property Manager In Charge (P.M.I.C.) license with the state of South Carolina.

Souad Belkheir Risk Manager

Souad joined Stonemark Management in 2006 and currently serves as Risk Manager for the Stonemark portfolio. Souad’s property management expertise spans a period of 14 years in the multi-family real estate industry and her experience covers many aspects of property management. Souad’s expertise includes, but is not limited to procedural auditing, revenue management, risk management and HUD compliance. Souad’s success stems from her diverse operational experiences within the field of property management. Her management style and analytical methods continue to afford Stonemark investors and owners with mitigated risk exposure and increased property values. Souad currently holds the accredited certifications of Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO), Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM) through the National Affordable Housing Management Association and National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) through the National Apartment Association Educational Institute. In addition, she holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.

Evan Taylor Financial Analyst

Evan joined Stonemark Management in 2012 as an intern while attending Georgia State University. He performed various tasks ranging from financial analysis to marketing with the goal of finding his true passion within Real Estate. When he graduated in May, 2015, he joined Stonemark full time as a Financial Analyst; with concentrations in acquisition, disposition, and refinance. He currently holds a BBA in Finance, Summa Cum Laude, from Georgia State Universities' Robinson College of Business.

Melissa Doss Senior Regional Manager

Melissa Doss joined Stonemark Management in 1994 and currently oversees multiple multi-family portfolios throughout Georgia. Melissa’s property management expertise spans a period of 23 years in the multi-family real estate industry; her experience covers multiple markets throughout Georgia. Melissa’s expertise includes, but is not limited to rehabilitation projects, lease ups, property operations. Melissa’s success stems from her diverse operational experiences within the field of property management and is cemented by her systematic management style that promotes communication and strong work ethics. Her management approach and results continue to meet the goals and objectives of our owners and investors resulting in increased property values. Melissa holds the designations of Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) and Certified Property Manager (CPM) through the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Michelle Romeo Regional Manager

Michelle joined Stonemark Management in 2011 and currently serves as Regional Manager. Michelle’s property management expertise spans a period of 11 years in multi-family and single family real estate and includes the Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia markets. Her expertise includes maximizing property operations, on-site interior and exterior rehabilitation projects, site management applications, training and mentoring, internal property audits and procedure writing and compliance. Michelle’s success stems from her extensive knowledge and understanding of site level operations and corporate oversight, as well as her hands-on management style that continues to afford our teams with training tailored to their specific needs. Michelle holds the designation of Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) through the National Apartment Association.

Jeanette Sugrue Director of Training

Jeanette joined Stonemark Management in 2013 and currently serves as Director of Training for Stonemark. Jeanette's property management experience spans a period of 25 years in the multi-family real estate industry throughout Georgia and Texas. Her expertise includes, but is not limited to day-to-day site operations, portfolio management, property management software applications, and procedural compliance. Jeanette's success stems from her diverse operational experience within the field of property management, a strong work ethic and her attention to detail. These strengths, coupled with a customer service oriented approach, afford our teams with training and support tailored to their specific needs.

Marygrace Navarro Regional Manager

Marygrace joined Stonemark Management in 2006 and currently serves as Regional Manager for our portfolio. Marygrace’s experience spans a period of 20 years as an onsite multi-family manager. Her expertise includes, but is not limited to, property operations, operations training and troubleshooting. Marygrace's success stems from her extensive property operations knowledge and her personal management style that supports managers and their teams with mentorship, training and goal setting.

Lori Hyde Regional Manager

Lori Hyde joined Stonemark Management in 2015 and currently oversees multiple properties in Georgia. Lori has extensive property management experience that spans a period of 25 years and includes various multi-family markets located throughout the southeast that included Georgia, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Her expertise includes but is not limited to new construction and rehabilitation lease up projects as well as affordable and conventional multi-family assets. Lori's success is based on a practical business approach to day-to-day operations that promotes exceeding expectations of our owners and investors.

Michelle Fortenberry Regional Manager

Michelle joined Stonemark Management in July 2016 and currently services as Regional Manager with properties in Mississippi and Arkansas. Michelle's property management expertise spans a period of 19 years in the multifamily real estate industry. Her expertise include property operations, rehabilitation projects, lease-ups, training and mentoring. Michelle's success stems from her knowledge of site level operations and hands-on management style. Michelle holds the designations of Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) through the Institute of Real Estate Management and Registered In Apartment Management (RAM) through National Apartment Associations. She is also currently working to gain her Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Laura Floyd Corporate Operations Trainer

Laura joined Stonemark Management in 2009 and currently serves as the Corporate Operations Trainer. Laura's property management expertise spans a period of 8 years in multiple markets as a leasing consultant and onsite multi-family manager. Her expertise includes, but is not limited to, property operations, operations training and troubleshooting, training, site management applications, and internal property audits. Laura's success stems from her extensive knowledge and understanding of property operations, as well as her personal management style that supports our teams with training tailored to their specific needs. Laura holds the designation of National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) through the National Apartment Association, as well as Property Manager In Charge (PMIC) through the South Carolina Department of Labor & Licensing.

Melissa Gill Director of Accounting

Melissa Gill joined Stonemark Management in 2016 as the Director of Accounting. Ms. Gill received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Business Management from Trinity College in 1988. She received her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the State of Vermont in 1989. Melissa’s accounting expertise spans a period in excess of 30 years including both public accounting and industry practice. Prior to Stonemark, Melissa worked as a public accountant for several years, owned and managed her own business for 12 years and most recently since relocating to Georgia, has served in the capacities of Controller and Director. Melissa’s success stems from her diverse operational background within the field of accounting and is enhanced by her management style that focuses on strong customer service and communication.

Richard Wall CAM®, CAPS® REGIONAL MANAGER

Richard joined Stonemark Management in November 2016 and currently serves as Regional Manager overseeing multiple assets throughout the state of Texas. His 20 years of experience in the multifamily real estate industry, include conventional, new construction, renovating and repositioning of assets and due diligence of future asset purchases. Richard is highly skilled in developing people, improving customer service and sales as well as enhancing the overall performance and appearance of each community. His attention to detail and passion for continued education has assisted in his success. Richard holds the designations of Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) and Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) through the National Apartment Association. He is also a 2016 Leadership Lyceum graduate of the Houston Apartment Association. Richard currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Westchase District Community Fund and has served on the EXPO Committee and Membership Campaign Committee for the past several years with the Houston Apartment Association.

Kenya Porter Accounting Manager

Kenya will celebrate her 6 year anniversary with Stonemark in 2014 and is highly respected amongst her co-workers. How I got my start: Kenya started her career in the field of accounting and property management nine years ago as a Staff Accountant and now serves as an Accounting Manager for Stonemark. What I enjoy most about my position: There is never a dull moment in Accounting although we are a quiet, reserved group. Meeting the needs of our clients is our primary focus. I credit my Grandfather for introducing me the accounting field. A little about me: My greatest joy is my children. I am a true Georgia Peach, born and raised in Atlanta. My favorite musical instrument is the violin, I played for 6 years and I have always had interest in learning to play the piano. I love to laugh, so enjoy comedy! I would like to visit Aruba and Hawaii.

Michael Slaton Maintenance Supervisor

Michael is a former United States Coast Guardsmen and will celebrate his 2 year anniversary with Stonemark in 2014. Before Property Management: I worked with animals – Yes, real ANIMALS; giraffe, zebra, warthogs and wildebeest to name a few! I started my career with animals by working as a Kennel Caretaker at a Veterinary practice then moved into a Veterinary Technician position. I eventually landed at the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa as a Hospital Keeper which led me into the position of Zookeeper for their African Hoof Stock Division. How I got my start in the Property Management field: I started as a Grounds/Maintenance Technician 7 years ago. I am now a Maintenance Supervisor for Stonemark in South Carolina. What I enjoy most about being a Maintenance Supervisor: My favorite part is helping others; from new apartment renter to the elderly couple that is downsizing. I enjoy providing residents with a quick response time and quality workmanship. I believe that I offer a valuable service to our community members and take pride in doing so. A little bit about me: I enjoy gardening and the outdoors in my free time and checking off projects on my “honey do” list! Places I have been – While in the service I toured the Caribbean. I have plans to return there soon. I can act too – I once got out of a speeding ticket by pretending that my wife and I were having an argument. After falling for my acting skills, the officer wished me “good luck” and sent us on our way, whew!
